Timothy Parker was an incredible individual who touched many lives. He loved his family deeply and was deeply committed to his friends and coworkers – his presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
On January 27, 2010, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and Wilmington Police Department executed a search warrant against PARKER at his residence in eastern North Carolina.
Timothy Parker is an American puzzle editor, games creator, and author who holds many accolades, including being the world’s most widely syndicated crossword compiler (according to Guinness World Records). Additionally, he serves as a partner at Regency Wealth Management, a firm that manages hedge funds and provides investment advisory services. He has more than three decades of experience across private equity, debt financing, corporate finance, and asset management.
He is currently at work on a book about the American Revolution, co-editor of Sanctioning Modernism: Architecture and Postwar Identity Creation (Texas 2014), has published work in numerous journals and presented at national/international conferences; additionally, a member of both Society of Architectural Historians and College Art Association.

As well as his writing and sports careers, he is also actively involved at Tabernacle of Deliverance Christian Center in Baltimore, where he serves as assistant pastor and board member, as well as being part of the National Ground Water Monitoring Network pilot project implementation work group.
Parker hails from Hicksville, New York, and attended Gilman School in Baltimore on both football and soccer scholarships. Throughout his time there, he earned multiple academic and athletic accolades, one being being honored as Gatorade New York Boys High School Player of the Year as a senior.

Parker is also an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Construction Institute, serving on their Crane Safety Committee since 2012. Within this committee, he collects, monitors, reviews, and evaluates information at construction sites regarding crane safety; participates in the ASCE learning series regarding crane topics; and presents a paper at their 2016 Summit titled “Reviewing Lift Plans That Utilize Alternative Lifting Methods.”
Hobbies include hunting and fishing; he has won multiple tournaments throughout his career and enjoys spending time with family. Additionally, he plays golf frequently as well as attending NC State games. Finally, he breeds Boykin Spaniels named Maggie, Duke, and Dakota – each one has become part of their family!
Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and attending Gilman School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. At the same time, he was studying law at the University of North Carolina – where he met Barbara Parker, who would eventually become his wife. They married in 1978 and welcomed Thomas Corey Parker.
As an avid reader and writer, he enjoys reading and writing in his free time, publishing in several literary journals as well as several books. A devoted father and husband, he takes great joy in spending time with his children as well as hunting, fishing, and golfing in nature – including being an enthusiastic supporter of NC State! In his free time, he loves spending time outdoors – hunting, fishing, or golfing can often be found alongside watching football games with his friends!
Timothy Parker is an American artist renowned for his abstracts and figurative abstractions. Educated at the New York City School of the Art Institute, Parker studied art before working as a painter, illustrator, graphic designer, creative director, and painter in various capacities – with many high-end fashion companies, perfume manufacturers, and cosmetic companies he was commissioned by as part of their branding campaigns. His artwork has appeared in multiple exhibitions around the country, receiving critical acclaim from critics while being featured in art books and magazines, too – not forgetting being featured by various high-end fashion, fragrance, and cosmetic brands in their campaigns and campaigns!
Alongside his professional career, Mr. Jones is actively engaged in community service activities. He serves on the boards of directors for various organizations, such as Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Council and Hope Christian Services (formerly Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat Foundation), both located in Wyckoff. Furthermore, he sits on Troop 77 of Boy Scouts of America, found here as well.
He currently holds the role of Partner at Regency Wealth Management, an independent wealth management firm based out of New York City. Additionally, he was one of the founding members of Hudson Capital Management LLC, a private investment firm, and has provided investment advisory services to private clients since 2004. With extensive business experience ranging from private equity investments and public markets (Bank of America Personal Asset Management group).
Parker is an accomplished athlete, having competed professionally for both Hicksville United and Vancouver Whitecaps of Major League Soccer (MLS). Additionally, he was part of the United States national team pool – making several appearances – as well as being included on both the USU-18 men’s national team pool roster and featuring for USMNT during its Olympic qualifying playoff run in March 2016. In 2017, Parker was honored as an Unsung Hero by the WFC Jock MacDonald Unsung Hero Award.
Timothy Parker is an award-winning geologist and geohydrologist with more than three decades of experience in groundwater research, development, and management. As principal of Parker Groundwater in Sacramento, California – with expertise in strategic water resources planning/policy consulting/implementation/contaminant hydrogeology- Timothy currently serves on several standing committees of the California Water Resources Association (GRA).
Tim Parker was an active member of the Elks Club, Quiet Birdmen, and Messiah Lutheran Church and was well known for his humorous stories and “Tim jokes.” Born November 2nd, 1932, to Stephen J. Parker and Mary Margaret Parker (Gormican), he graduated from Benedictine High School before going on to Purdue University, where his uncle Raymond sponsored him for ROTC program participation. Following this, he served in both Ohio Air National Guard, flying F-84F jet fighters before transitioning into the Wisconsin Air National Guard, flying KC-97s and KC-135s until retiring after 29 years from both organizations after 29 years of service.
Timothy Parker currently resided at 2011 E Handcart Ln in Spanish Fork, Utah, for about six months and previously lived at 1419 S 2250 E for fifteen years. He is associated with Dayna Lee Parker and Daniel A Parker, and together, they share four children and grandchildren, as well as being involved with local businesses.
Timothy Parker is a professional engineer who specializes in rigging and heavy transportation engineering. For eight years, he has worked in this field as president of Parker Rigging Company, Inc. in North Charleston, South Carolina, as well as two additional businesses there. Parker joined the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2015, starting 14 of 15 regular season appearances. Immediately, he made an impactful contribution that helped position Vancouver Whitecaps amongst one of the league’s premier defensive sides while being an integral member of their MLS Cup playoff run versus Portland Timbers that year.
In 2021, he signed with Houston Dynamo and started 60 of 62 games in which he appeared as part of their squad that won the Supporters’ Shield and made the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals.
Tim was beloved and will be deeply missed by many. Always cheerful, with an optimistic disposition, Tim dedicated himself to his family, friends, and work – leaving behind an immeasurable legacy of happiness and love in his wake.
