At our academy, there are classes offered daily in MMA, BJJ, and Kickboxing that can suit everyone’s schedules.

Izzy and Gracie Haviland traveled to Wales this weekend with hopes of taking home competition silverware at the Welsh Kids BJJ League tournament, and both left with medals!

Junior MMA

Junior Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) classes provide a fun, challenging, and enriching environment to build both physical and mental strength in children. Drawing upon techniques from multiple martial arts disciplines, including Boxing, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Judo, Junior MMA will develop discipline, resilience, and focus that can serve them throughout life – such as school work or even in the workplace!

This program is tailored for children ages 7-15, and classes feature instruction, drills, plyometrics/calisthenics training, and some games such as dodgeball, capture the flag, or soccer. Students need a mouthpiece, MMA gloves, and groin protection in this class, which runs three times weekly – please visit our schedule page for details.

Adult MMA

Adult MMA is the ultimate fighting style, blending techniques from Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai into one powerful combat experience that’s as versatile as it is effective for self-defense. Not only will you tone every muscle and burn more fat than most workouts, but adult MMA also promotes an ideal relationship between body and mind by teaching discipline and developing confidence.

Muay Thai training can be an ideal workout for adults looking to lose weight and build strength while relieving their stress. In addition, training offers an incredible way of connecting with similar-minded individuals while learning valuable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and self-defense.

Our Mixed Martial Arts classes are suitable for students of all experience levels. Fundamental courses focus on developing your core skills, while advanced classes pair you up with someone at a similar skill level. Check with your location for class schedules and details; text/data rates may apply, with no opt-out possible at any time by simply responding “STOP.” However, marketing/promotional/notification messages may still arrive from time to time.

Adult BJJ

Adult BJJ is a martial art and combat sport which allows smaller individuals to use grappling techniques to defend against much larger opponents using grappling techniques. Adult BJJ has gained popularity among adults for its effectiveness as self-defense and can also serve as a great way to get an intense workout and increase physical fitness.

BJJ is an excellent full-body workout, providing benefits in terms of strengthening, endurance, balance, and flexibility for your body as a whole. BJJ can also help with weight loss by increasing metabolism; its stress-relieving benefits also provide positive mindset development as well as discipline and focus.

Those interested in learning Jiu-Jitsu as adults need to select an ideal studio. A quality BJJ studio will employ instructors capable of instructing all levels while catering specifically to each student’s individual needs; additionally, classes should fit easily into your busy schedule.

Make sure that you allow enough time to warm up before each class to help prevent injuries and soreness the following day. This will also reduce injuries.

Feeling intimidated in your first BJJ class is normal; everyone goes through similar experiences. Focus on paying attention to your instructor and practicing basic movements; this will help build your confidence later on and allow you to progress onto more advanced moves as soon as you master basic ones.

Kids BJJ

Kids BJJ is a martial art designed to teach children how to defend themselves from larger attackers using leverage and technique instead of brute strength. Children learn to take down an attacker and control them on the ground – an invaluable lesson that builds their confidence while lessening bullying situations in real-life situations.

Kids Jiu Jitsu is not only an excellent form of self-defense for children, but it is also an enjoyable way for them to exercise, build friendships, and develop core values such as focus, discipline, perseverance, and respect – skills that will serve them throughout their lives in school, work, and adulthood.

As children grow, they gain more confidence in their abilities to defend themselves, build body awareness and strength, coordinate movement effectively, develop coordination through exercise, and make great movers. Most importantly, they form healthy habits such as healthy eating, daily physical activity, and goal setting – something many kids spend 7.5 hours of their day doing if not participating in something active like Jiu Jitsu. Not only is it physically demanding, but it is socially rewarding, too!

As kids move up through their grades, they will also gain experience being gracious in victory and defeat while building lasting bonds among students – skills that will benefit them throughout life and contribute to building cooperation and teamwork skills so essential today.

Adult Kickboxing

Kickboxing is an exhilarating and rewarding workout that will not only help you to get into shape and manage stress levels but also provide self-defense skills and meet new people! Plus, it’s a great way to socialize!

Kickboxing is a total-body workout designed to engage all major muscle groups while increasing flexibility, stamina, balance, and coordination. A typical kickboxing workout typically includes cardio warmups, combination, and defensive drills, and live sparring to work all of your muscles–including core stability muscles that provide essential stability benefits.

Kickboxing helps to develop mindful movement. It forces you to pay more attention to yourself, your body, and any actions or reactions they might cause others. Kickboxing can also boost both mental health and confidence – knowing how to defend yourself can give you added peace of mind when walking alone in public spaces or just going grocery shopping alone.

Kickboxing provides an effective outlet for relieving frustration. Studies have proven the benefits of physical activity in reducing stress and anger relief, so it should come as no surprise that so many kickboxing students say they keep returning because it provides such an excellent means of de-stressing. Furthermore, being part of a community of martial artists can increase resilience and capability as you work alongside one another to stay strong against life’s obstacles.
